Dear Friends of Hotel Mundal

Hotel Mundal closes down for renovation works.Too many renovation issues have been postponed for too long at Hotel Mundal. The renovation works which we initiated this fall and winter have given evidence for the need of in depth renovation of the hotel. Hence the long standing tradition to operate the hotel in summertime will have to be disrupted. 

At the same time we are hopeful to complete a joint project together with the Norwegian Cultural Heritage Fund for renovation roof and facade. Presumably the hotel will remain closed in 2018 and 2019. During the construction period we ask you to make good use of the extended opening times of Mundal's sister Hotel Tørvis in Marifjøra. Further information will be posted continuously.

Majestic Hotel Mundal is a piece of Norwegian hotel history from the end of the 19th century and takes great pride in preserving the authentic and atmospheric. When you take a seat at Mundal Hotel you sink down in comfortable leather chairs made by local craftsmen over 100 years ago.  And although the world around changes in the speed of light, at Mundal you can still find some good old peace and quiet among fjords and glaciers.
